Change the case of any text in one click
Paste text and apply one of six transformations: UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case, Sentence case, aLtErNaTiNg and iNVERSE. The change is made in place, so you can chain them, for example lowercasing a block that arrived in capitals and then applying sentence case, and Copy puts the result on the clipboard.
The rules are deliberately simple. Title Case capitalises the first letter of every space-separated word and lowercases the rest, so it will not preserve brand capitalisation like iPhone or leave small words such as "of" in lowercase; fix those by hand afterwards. Sentence case lowercases everything and capitalises the first letter after a full stop, question mark or exclamation mark. Inverse flips each character, which is the quickest way to undo an accidental Caps Lock paragraph.
A stats row above the text box tracks words, characters with and without spaces, sentences, paragraphs, lines and an estimated reading time at 200 words per minute, updating as you type. The text stays in your browser and is never sent anywhere.
Frequently asked questions
Does it convert to camelCase or snake_case?
No. The six options are upper, lower, title, sentence, alternating and inverse case. Programming cases are not offered.
Will Title Case keep acronyms like NASA?
No. Every word is lowercased before its first letter is capitalised, so NASA becomes Nasa. Correct acronyms afterwards.
Does it work with accented or non-Latin text?
Upper and lower case handle accented and non-Latin letters. Title and Sentence case find word starts using ASCII rules, so a word that begins with an accented letter may be left as is.
Is there a length limit?
No. The transformations are simple string operations and handle long documents without trouble.
Is my text saved or uploaded?
No. It lives in the text box until you clear it or leave the page.
