Screen Recorder

Record your screen, a window or a tab, with optional camera and microphone, and download the video. Free, no sign up, nothing is uploaded.

Capture your screen with audio

Record your screen, webcam or microphone to a file

Three modes: Screen captures a screen, window or browser tab (with audio when the browser offers to share it), Camera records your webcam and microphone, and Audio Only records the microphone with a live waveform so you can see that it is picking up sound. A timer runs during recording, and you can pause and resume before stopping.

The output is WebM, using VP9 video where the browser supports it, or WebM or OGG for audio-only recordings. It plays back in the page before you save, and there is a Download button plus, in Chromium browsers, a Save As dialog that lets you choose the folder and filename. There is no watermark and no time limit set by the tool; the recording accumulates in memory until you press Stop, so available RAM is the practical ceiling for very long sessions.

Everything uses the browser's own MediaRecorder and screen-capture APIs, so no extension is installed and nothing is streamed to a server. Screen capture is a desktop-browser feature; on phones the Screen tab is marked unavailable, while Camera and Audio Only still work.

Frequently asked questions

Can I save the recording as MP4?

No. Browsers record to WebM, and that is what you get here. Convert it afterwards with a desktop converter if a destination insists on MP4.

Why is there no sound in my screen recording?

Only some browsers offer to share system or tab audio when you choose what to record, and you have to tick that option in the sharing dialog. Your microphone is not mixed into Screen mode; use Camera or Audio Only for voice.

Is there a time limit?

None imposed by the tool. The recording is held in memory until you stop, so hour-long sessions depend on how much RAM your device has free.

Does it work on a phone?

Camera and Audio Only modes work on mobile browsers that support MediaRecorder. Screen recording needs a desktop browser.

Is the recording uploaded?

No. It exists only in your browser until you download it, and it is discarded when you close the tab.
