Merge PDF
Combine two or more PDFs into one file, in the order you choose.
Combine PDFs into one file, in the order you want
Add two or more PDFs, use the up and down buttons to put them in order, remove any you added by mistake, and merge. It works as a simple PDF combiner for contracts, scans and statements that arrived as separate files. The pages are copied as they are, so text stays selectable and images keep their original quality; nothing is re-rendered or recompressed.
If the combined document should not be opened by just anyone, tick "Password protect output" before merging. The file is encrypted with standard PDF encryption, so any reader will ask for the password, and no special software is needed to open it.
Merging happens in your browser with pdf-lib. The PDFs are not uploaded, there is no account, and the only limit is the memory your device has for very large files.
Frequently asked questions
How do I change the order of the files?
Use the up and down arrows on each file in the list before you press Merge. The output follows that order exactly.
Does merging reduce quality?
No. Pages are copied into the new document without re-rendering, so images, fonts and text are identical to the originals.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
Not directly. Remove the password first with the Remove PDF Password tool, then merge the unlocked file.
Is there a limit on how many files I can merge?
There is no fixed limit. Very large sets are bounded only by your browser’s memory, since everything is processed on your device.
