Split PDF
Separate every page, or extract the page ranges you need.
Split PDF pages or pull out the ones you need
Load a PDF and choose between two modes. "Every page" writes each page out as its own file. "Page ranges" extracts exactly what you type, in the familiar print-dialog syntax: "1-3, 4, 7-10" gives you one file per range. When the result is more than one file, it is bundled into a single zip so your browser does not ask about each download.
Pages are copied, not re-rendered, so the extracted files keep their original text, images and quality. This makes it the right tool for sending one chapter of a report, separating scanned forms, or trimming a long statement down to the pages that matter.
Splitting runs in your browser with pdf-lib; the document is never uploaded and nothing is stored.
Frequently asked questions
How do I extract just a few pages?
Pick "Page ranges" and type the pages you want, such as 2-5 or 1, 3, 9. Each range becomes its own PDF.
Why did I get a zip file?
When the split produces more than one PDF, they are packed into one zip so you download once instead of approving many files. A single range downloads as a plain PDF.
Does splitting change the quality?
No. Pages are copied as they are, so the extracted files match the original page for page.
Can I split a PDF that has a password?
Remove the password first with the Remove PDF Password tool, then split the unlocked file.
